Dear Parents and Guardians…
Welcome to the Fall 2010 semester at Lowell. My goals this semester are to work with you to ensure that your child learns and understands chemistry well. It is also my desire that all students have fun learning chemistry, as well as learn other skills important to life in general. Please don’t hesitate to contact me via phone or e-mail (see above) if you every have any questions, concerns about your child’s performance, or have something great to share with me. Thank you! Let’s work together toward a successful semester in chemistry! Parent Homework Assignment due by Sunday, August 30, 2010
Dear Parents: Please send me a brief e-mail at fongj4@sfusd.edu including: 1. Information about yourself — including your occupations and contact phone/e-mail.

Back to School Night on Thursday, September 23, 2010
Thursday, October 1 is Back to School Night. Come visit us in Room 337 to hear what your student is learning/will learn in Chemistry or AP Chemistry this year. Also earn extra credit for your student. Check Assignments and Grades
Use School Loop to check assignments and grades. Please make sure you check your student’s grades periodically if you wish. If you have any concerns, please do talk to your student and/or contact me. My Teaching Philosophy
I believe that all students given the right tools and motivation can learn and be successful. Stretching students’ abilities and safely increasing their expectations and positive views of themselves is important. Students need to be given the opportunity to learn what is needed to succeed in every aspect of their lives. I am glad to be their teacher and help. Please help support your student’s learning at home. |
